How to connect to the database in CentriQS

If you check option ‘Launch client application’ at the end of Client Setup or start Client application for the first time:


Database Connection Wizard will appear:

If you installed both Client and Server applications on your computer, option ‘Connect to this server computer’ will be available:


If Server application is installed on another computer, option ‘Connect to this server computer’ will be disabled, so you can find server computer automatically (tip: you can click ‘Stop’ as soon as at least 1 server has been found):

Or you can enter the server computer name or IP address, if you know it:


Then you can choose the database you want to connect to (by default there is only one Sample database supplied with the trial version):

For the first connection you need to login under default Administrator account (Username: admin; Password: admin). If more users are going to work in CentriQS with you, you need to create User accounts for them.


If you don’t want to go through Database Connection Wizard each time when you start Client application, we recommend you to check option ‘Automatically connect me to database X’

When you don’t need to automatically connect to the current database any more, simply click ‘Cancel’ before logging in and Database Connection Wizard will appear:
